Well Hello Cardio!
I’d like to introduce myself, my name is Karen and I can’t stand what is known as “cardio”.
If you’re like me, then you get bored easily on that machine, and if you’re like me, then you’ll say, “screw the machine, let’s get sweaty”.
I really despise doing any type of machine cardio and to be honest, I don’t even know why. There was once a time when I ran on a daily basis, which got to the point where I bought a treadmill to keep up my daily runs inside during the winter months. After an accident leaving me with an ankle injury, I couldn’t run comfortably. That’s when I really got into weights. It became to the point that I never, ever used my treadmill.
After a few years I got a gym membership. Seeing the treadmills again was like a new feeling so I began incline walking. (Oh, which if you aren’t holding the rails, and keep your back straight, not leaning back, it is an amazing glute workout!) 45 minutes, two days a week I’d be marching up that treadmill. Then one day, I just got sick of it.
I’ve never looked back.
(well actually I walk by them every day) 😉
+ Gymboss Interval Timer
+ Skipping Rope
Complete the following exercises in the exact order below.
1 minute of SKIPPING
100 MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
2 minutes of SKIPPING
100 FRONT LUNGES
3 minutes of SKIPPING
4 minutes of SKIPPING
10 PUSH UPS
Skipping is a great way to obtain cardiovascular exercise. I always have mine in my gym bag, so if I’m at the gym I can do some heavy sets, with skipping in between. This is a great way to add an extra fat burn into your workouts.
